I went hiking up Mt. Wachusset with the usual suspects. We took advantage of a beautiful weekend day, which seems to have been incredibly rare this June. I can’t believe how much I miss hiking every winter, although I am learning to take advantage of snow activities. Hopefully there will be more lovely hike-perfect days ahead because I am dreaming of the White Mountains, listening to the rain.
Vacations never last long enough. Ever. Our trip to the South last week was warm, sunny, rain-stormy and so good. I forgot how loud and how hard it rains in Florida. I forgot how much I love the springs. I forgot that reading a book in the middle of the day on a porch is one of my favorite things. I forgot how good it feels to be surrounded by family. But I am glad to be home, busy at work, thoughts stirring in my mind, projects remembered. I don’t necessarily feel like going into extreme detail about our trip, so here are some photos with brief descriptions:
