Every summer my neighborhood holds an outdoor movie screening a block away from our condo. A local bank is nice enough to host the event in their parking lot, on a huge inflatable screen and give out free popcorn and water. Lots of other businesses on the block offer specials (like $1.50 take-out hot dogs at Bukowski’s!) – it’s kind of a big deal. This year the movie was E.T. I don’t think I’ve seen this movie in at least 1.5 decades (scary that I can say that). I enjoyed the film from the front row on a blanket with some friends. Some of the better shots:

My first camping trip in New England was definitely a success. There were smores, campfire tales (ok, just my one really awful ‘tailypoo’ story), good beers, sign-reading followed by hysterical laughing, fun people, sun napping on a giant rock peninsula, hiking, hobo packets, woodland-identifications, nature guide impersonations, plenty of trash talking and one really good hike.
