Last night I hosted a girls night, definitely a great idea on my part. There is nothing better than getting a bunch of girls together in one room to paint nails, play Girl Talk, drink cosmopolitans, snack, gossip, jello-shoot, and watch the ultimate girlie movie (sex & the city). I got an original 1988 version of Girl Talk off Ebay, and it’s exactly as I remember it, zit stickers and all. I think only one person got away without a zit sticker last night. Some classics were “eat a slice of lemon without making a face” FAIL, “sing the star spangled banner without laughing” FAIL, “name on classmate you would like to trade places with” WIN, “pretend you’re in a talent show, and perform your talent for everyone”….. I definitely want to do this again, but am considering making an more grown up insert for the game, to make things a little more interesting.
I spent most of the day recovering from last night, and doing a little light cleaning around the house. Not quite sure what to do with all the slowly deflating pink balloons floating around the living room, but I quite like them. I wish I could have balloons at home all the time.
This was pretty much my afternoon. It was a gorgeous 50+ degrees and sunny today, so I went walking around Harvard square, window shopping, bought a new pen to write in my 5yr diary with, got some peach blossom tea from Dado and took myself and my latest Vonnegut endeavor to Cambridge Common to enjoy the sunshine. Nick is in Spain for the next two weeks, and it’s a little weird having the condo to myself (and bella), but I am enjoying some alone time, and more time hanging out with my friends, who are awesome, in case you didn’t know…
