Yellow = summer
Pretty flowers that will turn into delicious veggies. From left to right: Tomatillo, cucumber, sugar pumpkin. The summer crops are mostly in place and super excited about all this humid 85+ degree weather we’ve been having. I cannot say I share their excitement, but I am excited to eat them later this summer.
I was looking forward to a slow summer at the office, so I could dedicate my time to some long term projects that I don’t have time for during our busy season. Unfortunately my boss quit, and until they hire his replacement (if ever?), I will be covering some of his previous work load. I am excited about working on projects for other areas of mtvU – here’s to hoping I can get it all done!

Gwennie ~ so pretty … I love flowers, and especially the ones tha turn into FOOD – organic FOOD! I hope you get plenty of veggies for all your efforts, and of course you get plenty of other things like fresh air, peaceful feelings, and that great connection we feel to the Earth to which we belong! Found a lil link you might use … http://www.veggiegardener.com/12-homemade-natural-remedies-for-the-garden/
Sure wish I could share some of my delicious tomaters and little ‘Gretel’ white eggplants, etc. My watermelon is vining good with flowers, and I think my one GIANT zucchini is about to explode with squashies. Am waiting on my yellow crooknecks, but its still a lil plant. Plenty of basil varieties, rosemary, texas tarragon, chives, catnip, bee balm, stevia, green onions, and pepper varieties. However its just so hot, and alot of rain took some toll on the garden. Am still working to identify med. size eggplant which started out ivory, and now they’re turning golden – they’re beautiful, but am reading they are/they aren’t edible ….
I’m developing areas for my butterflies and hummingbirds, so found some great plants to attract them – have a few butterflies like giant swallowtails, but hoping for bummingbirds to find their way here! ~Love, Mom
